We face, therefore, a moral crisis as a country and as a people. It cannot be met by repressive police action. It cannot be left to increased demonstrations in the streets. It cannot be quieted by token moves or talk. It is time to act in the Congress, in your State and local legislative body and, above all, in all of our daily lives.
President Kennedy believed in the power of words — both written and spoken — to win votes, to set goals, to change minds, to move nations. He consistently took care to choose the right words and phrases that would send the right message. We need to get back to that….
The People’s Treaty
A Treaty to Preserve Our Health Related Human Rights
“The People’s Treaty” is designed to be a simple starting point in response to the World Health Association’s proposed “Pandemic Treaty.”
The World Health Organization has set up an Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) that is currently drafting an international “Treaty for Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response.” The INB is currently accepting written input to determine the topics that may be included in the “Pandemic Treaty.”
